Assist attorneys in preparing various legal documents; organize and maintain physical and electronic files and documents; manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings; prepare correspondence and draft documents; and perform general administrative duties, such as answering phones, filing, and photocopying.
Requirements/Skills:
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal; proficient in Microsoft Word (track changes, formatting, TOC, converting pdf/word documents); proficient in Adobe (extracting, inserting/replacing pages, editing pdfs, converting pdfs/word); proficient in document compare programs (Workshare Compare or the like); knowledge of legal terminology and procedures; proficient in searching and saving documents in document management system (iManage a +); strong organizational skills with attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize tasks.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
